Healing Arts Sessions
Explore your creative interests in an emotionally supportive and relaxing space. These sessions provide an opportunity to process emotions and trauma, practice mindfulness, identify personally relevant coping skills, and learn how to benefit from regularly engaging with the creative arts. Attend a one time session or schedule multiple sessions - our services are available to you on an as needed basis. Check out the FAQ section below to learn more.
Some elements of Art & Soul’s approach:
Trauma-informed - Each individual has ownership over their healing. No forced decisions or disclosures. The in-person/virtual space is intentional, flexible, and welcoming.
Unconditional positive regard - Come as you are. We create a judgement-free and validating space with room for challenge and growth.
Transparency - Make informed decisions about your healthcare. Art & Soul Clinic welcomes all feedback and suggestions for improvement.
A statement regarding licensure: I’ve chosen to work outside of the traditional mental health licensing system to practice in a way that is more aligned with my values and the radical healing work that our communities truly need. The mental health system in the US is founded on racist and ableist ideals that lead to prolonged harm for both the patients and providers. I practice transparently with access to regular supervision and mentorship, and I am committed to providing care that is respectful of each person’s lived experience.
We are committed to making our services financially accessible. Art & Soul Clinic offers sliding scale rates for 60-minute sessions based on self-reported personal income. We are also partnered with Art Pharmacy and Open Path Psychotherapy Collective, resources that may help you access our services for free or at a discounted rate.

“The expressive arts combine the visual arts, movement, drama, music, writing and other creative processes to foster deep personal growth and community development. Expressive arts therapy incorporates an evolving multimodal approach within psychology, organizational development, community arts and education. By integrating the arts processes and allowing one to flow into another, we gain access to our inner resources for healing, clarity, illumination and creativity.”

You are welcome to share as much as you feel comfortable to and engage with the arts in any way that feels right to you. You can attend sessions at a consistent rate (monthly, bi-weekly) or every so often when you need some creative healing time.

No! Anyone and everyone has the capacity to create. The creative process of experimentation and play is the driving force of healing. You do not have to identify as an artist in order to reap the benefits of expressive arts therapy.
